Wildcat Snow Report

Comments

That was a weekend to feel good about. The weather finally aligned with great conditions on the mountain as the slopes were buzzing with excitement. It was great to see guests enjoying sun and “warm” temps. It’s funny to think it felt like spring out there experiencing temps reaching the freezing mark on Saturday. We haven’t seen many days like since the early January thaw but it’s helped bring snow and keep it on the mountain where it belongs. We were hoping for a little more accumulation out of this overnight system but we’ll take the dusting and look forward to the next opportunity of snow that comes our way. That could be Wednesday so let’s hope the powder train keeps on rolling through. We do have a new ski school deal for the month of March which is the Group Clinic, Lift Ticket & Lunch Special. We’re throwing the whole shebang at you so check out our Ski & Snowboard School page to see how you can get a lift ticket, progress at skiing or riding and be well fed too! For today, we’re looking at another comfortable day on the mountain so come on out and enjoy an uncrowded Monday on the slopes.

It’s Bring-A-Friend Day so make sure all you Vertical Value Card & Season Pass Holders bring a friend as they’ll get a lift ticket for half off. Speaking of Season Passes, we’ll be releasing our pass lineup for the upcoming 15/16 winter very soon along with the Granite Goggle Tan Pass which will let you enjoy the rest of the spring season and give our mountains a shot. Here at Attitash we’re shooting for a closing date of Sunday, April 5 while Wildcat up in Pinkham Notch is looking to hit May so weather/conditions permitting you’ll be able to ski for another two months! Don’t miss out on enjoying an epic spring season at our mountains!

Attitash is scheduled to operate from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with 6 lifts providing access to 65 trails across 304 acres and 22.1 miles for skiing/riding. 54 trails have been machine groomed overnight. Conditions will begin as machine groomed packed powder with the ungroomed terrain being a variable mix of packed powder, powder and some firm/exposed areas. You’ll find some good bumps on Grandstand and a few other trails give you the all-natural experience such as Tim’s Trauma. Upper Myth Maker is also ungroomed so even though our trail report states it is groomed the upper third is not. Use caution as there may be hidden hazards under the snow. Take a look at the Skier’s Responsibility Code and stay alert for others out on the mountain. Lend a hand if you see anyone in need and make sure to throw trash in the proper receptacles. Keep our mountain friendly and beautiful!

We are looking at a forecast of a slight chance of morning snow showers with the day becoming partly sunny with winds ramping up a little bit and highs around 30. It should be a comfortable day on the mountain. Tomorrow brings in a cooler day with mostly sunny skies and calm winds. There is a chance of snow for Tuesday night so let’s hope we can wake up to a fresh Wednesday. After that the rest of the week and into the weekend looks beautiful so no more excuses to not get out of the house and enjoy some great skiing up in the Mount Washington Valley.
