Wildcat Snow Report

Comments

Happy Friday and the 6 days to go as we countdown to Christmas. Our snow surfaces were smooth and fast on Thursday’s top-to-bottom runs, while cruising and carving on both Attitash and Bear Peak was tons of fun. All of our open terrain was groomed overnight; Once again, you can expect to enjoy very nice machine groomed loose granular conditions. We also have a special deal for you, it’s a $ 50 Friday. That’s right every non-holiday Friday in December, January and February is only $50! (Only $40 on Fridays in March & April!) More good news, the weather forecast for Friday calls for mostly sunny skies with high temps near 31 degrees. Sounds like it should be a beautiful day out there, so we hope to see you on the slopes.

T.G.I.F. - Thank Goodness I’m Fifty - Age 50+ Seasonal Program – got off to a fantastic start on Thursday. 75 of TGIF’s hearty skiers were having a great time at Attitash, The large group first met in the South Wing of the Attitash Main Base Lodge for a kick off meeting at 9 a.m. Then hit the slopes in sub groups of 12 for instructional clinics from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. We caught up with Coach Rob and his team, “the young and the restless,” styling and smiling for the photo of the day on Cathedral Trail. Any and all, Age 50 plus folks are invited to join this midweek Adult Seasonal Program for "no stress" improvement on technique and skills, while building companionship amongst the group. All types of recreational, cruisers and performance skiers are welcome. The TGIF Program meets Thursdays, December 18 through March 19; $125 for the season or $20 per week, does not include lift ticket) Come on out after the holidays for the next session on January 8, 2015. Sign up, join the fun and stay forever young!

Attitash is scheduled to operate from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with 5 lifts providing access to 101 acres of open terrain and 8 miles on 21 trails for skiing & riding. Conditions for today will be machine groomed loose granular with firm variable conditions on the ungroomed terrain. All of our open terrain has been groomed overnight. Both mountains are now connected but some extended skating is required when travelling between Attitash and Bear Peak. Shuttle service is available between Attitash and Bear Peak Base Lodges. Beginner terrain is available near the Adventure Center on the Snowbelt and Learning Center Triple. Lessons are available for all ages and abilities; sign up today to develop new skills and have more fun on the slopes.

We will resume snowmaking when the colder temps return on Thursday, overnight on Moat and Spillway. Our next snowmaking efforts will be focused on adding access to the Abenaki chairlift and new trails, including Ammonoosuc, Far Out, and Myth Maker. We’ll continue to make progress on the mountain whenever weather permits.

Our renowned Ski and Snowboard School is offering all of its Programs daily now, including Buddy Bears, Adventure Kids and Loriders. Please call reservations at ext. 2677 for inquiries and to schedule your lesson. The nursery will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All other services available. Guest Service & Season Pass Office open daily a 1/2 hour before lifts open to a 1/2 hour after lifts close. Call 603-374-2665 to speak with Guest Service.
