Weather forecast
Today we will see cloudy skies and mixed precipitation, most of which will be in the form of rain with a chance of some snow. Temperatures will fluctuate today, rising quickly this morning then cooling down this afternoon. Temperatures at the summits dropped below freezing early last night and have been gradually climbing to low 50s. For the base, temperatures have hovered around the freezing mark and should rise to lower 50s today. We’ll see temperatures dropping by the afternoon. West winds 10-15mph with gusts up to 40mph. Tonight’s skies will gradually clear and temperatures will drop to the teens. For Friday, partly sunny skies with a low chance of snow in the afternoon and calm winds. Friday night we could see light snow accumulation.

Mountain Conditions
Good morning, skiers and riders! We are in the midst of winter versus spring here with each one wanting to take hold on any given day. Every day looks and feels different from the last, but hey, the only constant in life is change, so bring that adventurous spirit and waterproof clothing, and come on out for a few laps (or many).
Our fleet of groomers were only able to make passes on low angle, easier terrain given the soft conditions. They are having to be more delicate on the terrain these days given softening conditions, typical for this time of year. Softer conditions mean it can be hard to access steeper terrain and trying to put a pass down any trail when conditions are soft can hurt the trails more than benefit them. We will continue to make decisions to preserve the snowpack for as long into the season as possible while still making the terrain fun and enjoyable. Despite a groom, soft trails can make for fun carving, the benefits of spring skiing! Once patrol does their trail checks prior to opening, expect there to be a few changes to the trail status tab.
