Attitash Report

Friday, February 21st, 6:10AM

02/21 Flying Bear Update: Flying Bear will not be operating until further notice, including this holiday week, as we continue to work through the necessary inspections. Thank you for your continued patience.

Weather Report: Mostly sunny skies. Northwest winds 10mph, gusts up to 20mph. Base temperatures will remain in the low to mid 20s and summit temperatures will remain in the mid to upper teens. Wind chills as low as –1 degree.

It sure feels like a winter wonderland around here these days. Come savor in all its glory while the going is good! We have a variety of trails to offer from machine-groomed packed powder corduroy to powder lines, tree skiing, and terrain park options. Beware firm spots may develop as the day goes on. Our terrain park offerings include Ptarmigan Hike Park on Attitash Peak and over on Bear Peak, Arcade and Family Cross! Our natural terrain has been refreshed by recent storms, just beware thin spots may develop, exposing natural hazards. Please practice Your Responsibility Code. Use this link to the Mountain Safety page on the Attitash web site.

Today we will be spinning the Flying Yankee, Mountaineer, Progression, Learning Center, Snowbelt, and Kachina from 8:30AM-4PM and the Abenaki from 8:30AM-3:30PM. Trillium will be closed 02/21 all day for training.

EVENTS: Tomorrow, 02/22, get ready for the Cardboard Box Derby! To find out about this event and more, visit the Attitash Events tab.

P.S. For your safety, do not cross 302; instead, use the Pedestrian Tunnel or Shuttles to and from Lot 1 and Lot 2.

What’s the skinny on our Uphill Policy?

Uphill Update: We are continuing to allow uphill travel and boot hiking from the top of the Abenaki Quad. The hike is up Kachina Falls to access Illusion, Avenger, and Morning Star during operating hours ONLY. These trails are ungroomed natural snow terrain. Wandering Skis will be CLOSED during operating hours for both uphill and downhill skiing and riding. We ask that you keep off closed trails for your safety and the safety of our staff. Attitash reserves the right to close uphill travel based on conditions, operations, or other hazards. Thank you for understanding.

Morning Uphill - OPEN

4:30AM to 8AM

Uphill Route: Hotel Way to Wandering Skis, straight across Illusion and up the top pitch of Morning Star. Reflective signs on the sides of the trails identify the route. These signs are visible to the uphill traveler. Look for these markers to help guide you at night.

Downhill Route: This is the same as the uphill route. All other resort trails are closed for recreational traffic during non-operational hours.

Evening Uphill - OPEN
