Attitash Report

Saturday, December 21st, 2024 6:20AM

Weather Forecast: Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of snow showers. NW winds 10-15mph with gusts up to 30mph. Wind chill could be as low as –2. Temps at base will remain in the low 20s. At the summit, they will be in the low to mid-teens. Tomorrow temperatures will be in the single digits and rise to low teens with wind chills values as low as –18 below and windy. Plan ahead so you can still enjoy the slopes in comfort.

Happy Winter Solstice! Welcome to the first official day of Winter. Not only that, but that also means from now until the end of June, each day will get a little bit longer — and brighter. The Mountaineer is now open for the season with access to the Saco trail from summit to base. That means over 1600 vertical feet of drop on a moderate (blue) trail. We’ve got a lil’ somethin for everyone here at Attitash. Start small and build up those skills on our available beginner (green) trails - Learning Center and Far Out. Then head over to the Mountaineer for a few long and winding moderate (blue) laps. After that, if you are really feeling good go check out Spillway (black).

Weather conditions are providing excellent snowmaking and grooming conditions. Our Snowsurface Team is hard at work and wrapping up snowmaking on Morning Star and Snow Dancer over at Bear Peak and Humphrey’s Ledge and Northwest on Attitash Peak. Groomers are fast on their heels working in all the newly made snow.

Feeling the hanger setting in or just need to rest the legs and fuel up for round 2? Frostbites, the Cantina, and Ptarmigan’s can help you with that! We’ve got plenty of options for everyone in the group.  For more information on our dining options visit Attitash Food & Beverage.

Want to learn to ski or snowboard or to take your skills to the next level? Check out our epic lesson offerings by our amazing cadre of instructors. To learn more, go to our Winter Activities page!

We have a few live music events coming up so be sure to check out our Events Calendar!

Uphill Policy: Uphill access is now allowed from 4:30PM to 8PM daily via Lower Saco - Upper Saco -  Attitash Summit.  The downhill route is the same as the uphill route. All skinning and skiing/riding MUST be accomplished within this timeframe, no exceptions. All other resort trails are closed for recreational traffic during non-operation hours for your safety and that of our staff who are working around the clock. Please refresh yourself on our Uphill Access Policy and keep up to date as the season progresses via our hotline: 603-374-2008. Cheers!Â
